The DripsGewijs project develops, realizes and tests a field covering drip irrigation planner for potato and onion growers based on intelligent soil maps.
The planner uses measurements from soil moisture sensors in combination with flat-covering soil scans to better visualize the variation within the plot. With the planner, crops are always provided with sufficient water and at the same time little to no water is wasted.
RMA is carrying out the project together with Loonstra & van der Weide.
