Last year, Wageningen University and Aeres Hogeschool investigated the use and functioning of various soil moisture sensors on two sites in Wageningen and Dronten.
In the evaluation report, RMA's soil moisture system scored the highest with an 8.9 rating when rating the use of all systems. Ease of installation, communication of the data, the number of depths, availability of advice and the number of clicks to view the advice were examined.
The score for the exact representation of the soil moisture content was lower, but that is not relevant for the RMA system, because all measurements are related to field capacity. The trend is well represented, which is more important.
