RMA measures soil moisture in the park and garden sector. Similar to agricultural crops, sufficient availability of water is also of great importance for trees to survive.
For a customer in the park and garden sector, RMA offered a solution to gain remote insight into the amount of soil moisture. Provided that the setup of the monitoring points would be invisible in the public space.
With our LoRa modules, positioning such a solution underground was no problem at all for RMA. The LoRa modules fit well in so-called street pots.
By monitoring soil moisture at strategic locations, data-driven use of irrigation systems has become possible for the customer. This can be used with, for example, transplanted trees or the (temporary) monitoring of groundwater pumping.
